Wicca

Wicca is a contemporary pagan religious movement that emphasizes the worship of nature, the reverence for the Earth, and the practice of magic. Originating in the mid-20th century, it draws upon ancient pagan practices, folklore, and ritual traditions while promoting a belief system that often includes a duality of the divine, typically represented as the God and Goddess. Wiccans celebrate various seasonal festivals known as Sabbats, which mark the cycles of the Earth and agricultural seasons, and they often practice rituals that honor the elements and the natural world. The ethical framework of Wicca is widely encapsulated in the Wiccan Rede, which encourages practitioners to "harm none" in their actions. Wicca is characterized by its diverse beliefs and practices, allowing for personal interpretation and individual expression within its framework, leading to a rich tapestry of traditions within the broader Wiccan community. But For most it means a connection with nature and the elements and the Earth, the cycles of it all and what binds everything together (this is what it means for me), for some it also means a strong belief and connection with the Goddess and the God and also other deities, for some it means a form of witchcraft, for some it means other things. There is quite a bit of variation in Wicca and how it is followed, and that is part of the beauty of it. I tend to follow this religion more than anything now.
